The Levesque family is deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of their father Wilfred Levesque at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Wednesday June 11th, 2025 after a brief illness. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years Corinne Levesque (Daigle).
Wilfred is survived by his two sons Jean-Claude (Tina) of Moncton, NB and Robert (Youn) of Dieppe, NB., three grandsons Jasey Jay Levesque of Dieppe, and Damien and René Levesque of Dieppe, NB. Wilfred also leaves behind one sister Aline (Bill) Letourneau of Dalhousie as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Renaud, Antonio (Bidou), and sisters Carmen, Rolande, and Jeannine.
Born in Dalhousie, NB on Feb 9th, 1939, Wilfred was the 5th of 6 children born to the late Rémi and Jeanne (nee D’Amours) Levesque, of Dalhousie, NB. Wilfred made his career at the Dalhousie Paper Mill where he retired with 39 years of service. In his younger days he really enjoyed hunting and fishing, his beloved cars, biking, picnics, yard maintenance and of course cutting wood and picking blueberries in the South East. Reading his newspaper, watching current events and studying has always been an everyday activity. Every summer cooling off in the shade has been a time where stories were shared and laughs were enjoyed. He will always be remembered for his random singing in the house, (he had a great voice) and great sense of humour.
Respecting the family wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral planned.
Arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home.
