Jon has been positively impactful on my life since the first day we met. When we first met, I knew we would be good friends. I will always remember and cherish the fun, exciting memories that we made when working at the Bean together. We always closed together and I will never forget the fun we had and the conversations we had on the drive home. He's a very hopeful, caring, funny, and genuine person. He made me feel heard and he truly enjoyed talking about deep conversations as much as he liked to joke and have fun. He helped me understand that positivity can go a long way in helping everyone.

And Jon, if you're seeing this, next gallon of milk is on me bro. Just know, from the bottom of my heart, I miss you and love you, man - I'll see you again. You will always be a great friend, Jon, and nothing can ever change that.

Tom and Karen,
There are no words adequate, my heart is broken for you...Jon was clearly a bright light in this world, a smart, handsome young man with a heart of gold for people, I am sorry that I never met him... My prayers have been and continue to be for the very real presence of Jesus to surround you and all that are hurting, to comfort you, to strengthen you and to show you the way through your pain...You are well loved, and Jonathon is now truly home...

The reason I had the opportunity to meet Jon was because of my girl friend Erika Evans. Every day she'd come home talking about Jon this Jon that and how funny he is without trying to be. I'm thinking ok well let me meet this JON she's always talking about. I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know Jon in depth though we were headed in that direction. I am thankful that I was at least able to scratch the surface of our newfound friendship. From the moment of our awkward fist bump/ hand shake as an introduction at the BEAN WHERE Jon worked, I knew I'd like Jon. From his illuminating smile to his kind heart Jon was the type of friend everyone needed for he was understand, non judgemental, always willing to help, hard working and thoughtful. About a week and a half ago when I was giving Jon a ride home we talked and laughed the whole way to his house as i told him about all the speeding ticket I had acquired in my younger years. Through our brief conversation I quickly realize that Jon was very reserved but when he got comfortable with you he'd loosen up to the point where that 20 min ride felt more like 5. The last thing I said to Jon was Erika and I are here for you if there is anything you ever need never hesitate to call or just ask. I could tell by his facial expression he wasn't use to hearing that. Just from the ride home alone I could tell how thankful he was because he said thank you a million times. Jon was a genuinely good person and will be deeply missed.

To the Morrish family from Teekeh and Erika you have our condolences.
