

Frank Ralph Richetelli, 96, of Cape Coral, Florida formerly of North Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, at the Cape Coral Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Harriet Sue Richetelli. Frank was born in Hamden on March 25th, 1928, and was the son of the late Ralph and Mildred Mello Richetelli. A proud veteran, he faithfully served his country in the US Navy as an Aviation Fundamentals Tower Control Operator during both WW II and Korean wars, earning the Victory Medal for his service. Frank received a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Quinnipiac College and began his career working simultaneously at the N.Y., N.H. & Hartford Railroad and the Armstrong Rubber Company before embarking on a distinguished career as a Special Agent for the IRS. A founding member of the former St. Frances Cabrini Church in North Haven, he was deeply involved in his faith community, serving on both the Building and Finance Committees.
Earlier in his life, Frank purchased property in Florida, drawn to the warm weather and vibrant lifestyle. The Florida way of life always appealed to him and when he eventually made it his permanent home, he embraced it fully.
After moving to Florida Frank enjoyed playing bocci with Sue and became president of the Cape Coral Bocci Club. He was a hardworking man with a passion for finance and always enjoyed keeping his mind engaged in numbers and strategy.
Frank was a father, stepfather, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his children, Linda Richetelli-Pepe (Frank), Debra Richetelli-Dargan (Tim), Jay and Brian Richetelli, and stepfather of Erica (Jack) Burda. He was predeceased by his children Janet Mildred and Robert Frank Richetelli (Brigitte). Frank was also grandfather to Dominique Pepe, Catherine Pepe-DeFrancesco (Jesse), Francesca Pepe (Rob); Shannon and Daniel Dargan; Jennifer Richetelli-Hebert (Mason), Robby Richetelli (Tamara); John, Kevin and Tom Richetelli. He was a proud great grandfather to Avery, Cameron, Robby and Franky.
He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Richetelli Cummings, and was predeceased by his siblings Anthony “Buddy” Richetelli and Marion “Sis”
Wasilewski. He leaves behind his former wife Catherine Mautte Richetelli, along with many nieces and nephews. Frank’s memories will be cherished by his special Florida cousins and their families: Frankie (Joesphine) Mello, Junior (Norma) Mello, Barbara (Michael) Kaliszewski, and the late Joanne (Jo)Villano.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Jan. 25th in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven, CT. followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Cape Coral, at a later date.
