I first met Alan through our church’s small group prayer class. He was the groups team leader and over time, sharing personal life stories, we found we had common interests and life experiences.
I truly enjoyed our friendship and felt his pain as his health began to deteriorate.
Despite his health issues he always expressed his concern about my own health problems. He made you feel his life’s struggles were so much less than your own. He was just that way. He genuinely was more concerned about those he shepherded than gave concern about his own wellbeing. I will miss you my friend and I know you are in a much better place now. Save a spot for Nancy and me in your next prayer group meeting. Until then, your brother in Christ. Bob

Alan was both a gentleman and a gentle man. We enjoyed our times spent with him and Carolyn and Nicole. He was incredible at putting people at ease and always had fascinating stories from a life well lived. His love of life and curiosity about people and the world around him always brought us pleasure. He also loved to cook especially creole or Cajun dishes. If there is a kitchen in need of a chef in heaven – you will find Alan there. Carolyn and Nicole, may your memories of Alan comfort you at this time.

Peace be with you Alan, we will miss you here on earth.

Carolyn and Nicole, so sorry for your loss. Our time together in the small group was a very special time for George and me. May the knowledge that Alan’s soul, and the souls of all the departed, though the mercy of God, rest in peace in his loving arms. Nan

I knew Alan through Nicole, and he always welcomed me with grace and kindness. Although I know he is at peace, no longer struggling, and reuniting with many loved ones, I know that it is hard for those he leaves behind. My thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn and Nicole. May you find peace and joy through all of the memories you share. Hugs and kisses from Kate and I.

Alan was a Godly and peaceful man who brought joy into many people around him. He gave me and our bible study group a gift of prayer in Anima Christi. I still cherish this prayer and always think of Alan. Blessings Alan, now you can dance with Jesus.
