Angel Carlos Garpa passed away January 31, 2021 at his Dallas, TX home. Born February 11, 1960 in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Maximo and Inocensia Aguilar Garpa, Angel worked in Quality Control for a vinyl window manufacturing company.
Angel loved listening to music (the likes of Pink Floyd, Mana, and Black Sabbath), and he loved story-telling about his life experiences and tying that to a grand, wise life lesson. He was a foodie & always enjoyed cooking delicious foods. He had a big love for music & writing poetry. He loved nature—especially when thunderstorms would roll in.
His son describes him as a “simple man with a lot of character.” He was “Garpa Strong 💪” as his children all proclaim.
His mind set was always take it easy, let the bad slide off your shoulder and always keep your head up high, "somos Garpas."
Angel was a Dallas Cowboys fan, fun and loving, straightforward, laughable, and would like to joke around. He made his grandkids laugh all the times he would make a funny face. Angel loved and missed his Mother very much—he now walks eternally alongside of her. He always prayed and attended La Iglesia de Jesucristo de Los Santos de Los Ultimos Dias for many years.
He is survived by his children: Cynthia Berenice Garpa, Jose Lorenzo Garpa, Max Garpa, Carlos Garpa, Dalia Lizvett Garpa; daughter-in-law Melissa Ellen Garpa. He is survived by his only brother Miguel Garpa.
Grandkids Eric Morales, Crystal Arevalo, Mya Alexa Arevalo, Jonathan Dominique Arevalo, Mariah Rene Marquez, Mason Rene Marquez, Hugo Lorenzo Garpa, Gabriel Jose Garpa, Aden Luciano Garpa, Adriana Joselyn Garpa, Halle Melania Garpa, Max Garpa Jr.; Great grandkids: Nyla Alexa Rue, Dario Anderson, Bella Morales, Persephanie Morales, Audrey Morales.
