Waverly, Ohio She was 6 weeks away from her 94th birthday.
She was loved for her sense of humor, her zest for life and her love of her family. She
traveled the U.S. with her husband Jim, then cruised the world with her husband, Gale.
75 cruises in 18 years, WOW! In 1997 she and Gale cruised for 72 days through Asia,
Australia, and New Zealand. For her 72nd birthday she walked the great Wall of China.
Betty owned and operated her own catering business for several years. What an
awesome cook … and her family enjoyed it the most. She was mom to her 3 daughters, Sally Neiger of Daytona Beach, FL, Corky (David) Larson of Clarkston, MI and Barbara (Jerry) Cornelius of Richardson, TX. She was a grandma of 10 grandchildren, Kim Neiger, Tom Neiger, Laura Larson, Trish (Don)
Deutsch, Larry Bonnell, Nancy (Matt) Carlton, Shari (Jason) Strilecky, Lisa (Chris) Metzler, Luke (Adriene Brown) Larson and Jeff (Marlys Williams) Bonnell. She had 23 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Ferne Edson; her husband, Jim
Moore, of 45 years (1947-1993), her husband, Gale Crombie, of 18 years (1995-2013) and her grandson, Tom Neiger. She was an amazing woman. There will be a celebration of her life at a family gathering in Michigan in October on her 94th birthday. Betty loved her dogs and cats; over the years she had several well-loved furry family members. In fact, her companion for the last 4 years, “Baby Kitty” was a rescue from the Richardson Animal Shelter.
