With sorrow we report the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Betty Ann Flynn Peterson (86) of Rawlins, Wyoming, on March 13, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas. She will be missed by her loved ones and friends. Betty was born on December 6, 1931. She grew up in Parco (Sinclair) and was a long-time resident of Rawlins, Lake Havasu, AZ, and Denton, TX. While living in Rawlins she sang with the None Choir, actively participated in many social and philanthropic clubs, and attended mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Betty loved adventure, waterskiing, boating, golfing, the time she spent at Seminoe Lake, and the opera. She enjoyed a good mystery novel, world travel, and crafting stained glass art. Betty is survived by her children: Stephen (Mona) of Idaho, Susan (Chet) Engstrom of Denton, TX, Lori (Gary) Waeckerlin of Rawlins, WY, Jane (Myron) Hillestad of Rawlins, WY, and by 9 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Peterson, parents Edmund and Dorothy (Williams) Flynn, and her baby sister. No services are immediately planned.
