In loving memory of Dr. Carlos Chavez Figarola, who dedicated his life to caring for others both personally and professionally. Known as "el doctor" to neighbors, extended family, and friends, he never turned anyone away if he could offer help in any way.
Carlos led a life of service and international exploration. He earned his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, completed his residency at the University of Montreal, Canada, and completed research fellowships at Heidelberg University, Germany. Serving as the chief of nephrology, he retired early to support his family after a tragedy.
Following the loss of his first wife, Carlos remarried his lifelong friend, Isabel Clement, who was also widowed. As a retiree, he relocated to the United States, enriching the lives and hearts of those who knew him for the past 26 years.
Carlos is survived by his wife Isabel Clement, children, stepchildren, grandchildren and beloved dogs. He peacefully passed away on December 29th, 2023, at the age of 91.
May his memory serve as a lasting source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
