One of my favorite memories of Chan was when I asked him for his blessing to marry his daughter Julie. He was so excited and asked me when I was going to propose. Unfortunately, I could only tell him I would do it "soon." Chan cared deeply for his family and showed it with every action. I will miss him and am happy that he was part of my life.

Although I have very little memory of him, he was a great and heartwarming person. My dad loved to sharing his stories with him and always said great things. I could send him there to lay his best friend to rest, but one day they'll meet again. We love your family and we are so incredibly sorry for your loss. We hope you're resting in peace, Pu Chan.

It is my pleasure to know the Thongs as the family of my beautiful daughter-in-law.  At the head of this family was Chan who inspired others by example and the steadfast love for his children and wife. 

I am so grateful to have known Chan and to benefit from the legacy he left behind. His wife Guech, son David, daughters Julie and Judy, and son-in-law Alex will miss him intensely as will all other family, friends, and acquaintances.

To the Thongs: You will not walk alone through this difficult journey.

I had the privilege of working with Chan at Rediform for many years.  Chan always had a smile on his face, no matter what he was going through.  

I will always remember Chan as a strong and courageous man and will miss his smile!

I remember this picture was just one of the days when I just went shopping with him at his favorite store ROSS. We were waiting in the checkout line, and I was bored, so I was messing with Snapchat filters. I turned to him and asked him to take a selfie with me using this filter. As you can tell by his expression, he was not impressed, haha. Now looking back at this picture, it makes me realize I won't have any more of those shopping days with him. But I know he will look down at me and be with me in spirit on those shopping days. I love and miss you so much, Papa. 

I remember the day that this photo was taken, it had just snowed all night and day during February 2022. I remember my Dad just found out how to work a selfie stick and he got dressed and ready to take photos outside, he even told my mom to dress up so that they could take photos together. I remember watching them from the window as this photo was being taken and thought that they were so cute being excited about the snow and taking photos with each other or of each other. He just looks so happy in the photo. I miss him every day already and forever will, I love you Papa ❤️

I’ve known Judy since middle school and she would always be at my house or I would go to hers. Although I never fully sat down and had a conversation with him he would always ask how my family and I were. He would always make comments about how skinny I am and how I needed to eat more. I remember one time specifically he and Judy was dropping me off home and he had even offered to take me to McDonald’s because he wanted me to eat. I know it was something so small but it genuinely meant so much to me how he would ask about my family and how he would check on my wellbeing and would always be offering me food. He was always super caring and will for sure be missed. 

Chan was a very sweet man and great father. I am a close friend of his daughter Judy and every time I would go over to the house to see her, he was there always happy to welcome me. Judy always spoke so highly of her father and of how great of a man he was. He will forever be in our hearts. Rest easy. ❤️
