

Eva (Townley) Humphries born to William and Mamie Townely in Murchinson Texas on March 9, 1923. Passed away on July 11, 2014, released from her earthly body into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Eva was the youngest of five children and was the last living member of her generation. Eva was a lifelong resident of Dallas where she attended cosmetology school and worked downtown Dallas as a stylist for Henri's of Hollywood. She continued working for several hair color companies including Clairol and, L'Oreal of Paris that took her on many trips to New York City and other destinations that she always enjoyed. After retirement Eva continued to work as a demo representative at Sam's Club.
Eva loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents William C. Townley and Mamie Lee Dyke, brother Roe Townley, sisters Jimmy (Flora) Prince, Lorene Kirk and Faye Morgan. Also preceding in death R.C. Hayes Jr., Eva's first husband that she loved dearly passed at a young age. Second husband Noble Acker, Eva met her third husband, George Humphries, her perfect match, in their Eighth decade of their lives. They enjoyed dancing, traveling, spending time with their two dogs Pixie and Benji and making each other smile for the next 10 years.
Eva was survived by her daughter Sondra (Sandy) Howard and husband Steve. Two granddaughters, Sara Brulet and husband Sean, Samantha Wolthausen and husband Eddie. Two Great grandchildren Patrick and Ginny Brulet.
Although preceded in death by her siblings, she also had five beloved nieces, and one nephew. Of those, three remain and along with their families a loving and supportive bond is ever present and truly appreciated.
A celebration of Eva's life will be held at Metrocrest Funeral Home on Saturday, July 19, 2013 from 1:00pm-2:00pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the SPCA or Operation Kindness in Carrollton in Eva's name.
