
Freddie Carl Chambers, who was better known as Fred or “Grandpa”, was born on July 26, 1948 in Salinas, California and passed away on August 2, 2016 in Carrollton, Texas. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Jean Chambers, and his sister, Becky Blasingame. He is survived by his wife, Donna Chambers of Carrollton; son, Chris Chambers and his wife, Michelle of Plano; son, Cody Chambers and his wife Genefer of Carrollton; and daughter, Patricia Lowery and her husband Tom of Rowlett. Fred is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Katy, Parker, Lauren, Ally, Abby and Lexi. Fred met Donna at San Rafael High School in California which began their 52-year journey together. They moved to several states before finally landing in Carrollton, Texas in 1982. Fred took over his dad’s pool business, Associated Pool Service and successfully owned and operated it since then. Fred had a lifelong passion for fishing and shared his enthusiasm with anyone who would listen. Fred loved to fix cars and boats and build things such as addition to his and Donna’s home as well as anything else he could get his hands on. He loved to help people, whether it was family, a neighbor, or a stranger in a parking lot; he was more than willing to help anyone who needed anything. But most of all, Fred loved his family, especially his grandkids. He face would light up every time they would walk into the room. He was born to be a Grandpa!! The grandkids loved him so much. He will truly be missed by all and will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
