George Ronald Culley

With great sadness, we announce the passing of George Ronald Culley on December 20, 2018 in Mesquite, TX. He was born on June 30, 1938 in Riverview, AL to G. W. and Mary Culley. George honorably served his country in the US Army for 30 years.

George was very patriotic, full of spirit, funny, kind and overall a strong man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. He had many hobbies which included Hunting and fishing, along with collecting classic model cars, building things, and painting ceramics. He also loved guns and Marilyn Monroe.

George is preceded in death by his parents; son Robert E. Culley and siblings Robert W. and Jimmy Culley.

He is survived by daughter Lisa Culley Akin; grandchildren Elise, Robert A. and Ryan; great grandchildren Kayden & Jameson; siblings Nelda Clark and Marilyn Brown, and several loving nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at Metrocrest Funeral Home – Carrollton, TX on Wednesday December 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday December 27, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park – Dallas, Tx.
