(née Fillenwarth)
April 22, 1948 – May 29, 2026
Janice Mae Murray, born Janice Mae Fillenwarth, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 78.
Janice was the kind of person who loved with her whole heart. No matter what life brought, she was always there for the people she cared about, offering support, encouragement, and unconditional love. Family meant everything to her, and she never stopped loving her children beyond measure.
She enjoyed the simple things that made life special. Janice loved crocheting and sewing, creating gifts and keepsakes for family and friends. She looked forward to playing bingo and Mexican Train with the ladies at her apartment community and enjoyed spending Tuesday afternoons listening to the bluegrass band. She loved family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and any excuse to get together with the people she loved.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Murray.
She leaves behind her son, John Robert Correll, daughter-in-law Amber Correll, and granddaughter Katelynn Munoz; her daughter, Marjorie Lynn Alexander, Marjorie's fiancé Terry McBrewer, and Marjorie's children, Alryn Zaldana, Victoria Michelle Alexander, Jason Phillip Alexander III, Jae'Marjon Phillip Alexander, Jupiter Rayne Bowen, and Andrew James Pally. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Perseus Anthony Alexander and Calliope Mae Lopez.
Janice's greatest gift was her ability to love unconditionally. Her kindness, strength, and caring heart touched the lives of many, and the memories she created with family and friends will be treasured forever. While she will be deeply missed, her love and the lessons she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family takes comfort in knowing that every stitch she sewed, every game she played, every holiday she celebrated, and every act of love she gave helped create a legacy that will never be forgotten.
