She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Robert W Fischer.
Joan and her husband relocated to Marshalltown, Iowa after marrying and lived their till 1977 when they moved to carrollton, texas.
Joan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for over 35 years at various hospitals in the community.
She is survived by her son Doug and daughter-in -law Lori and by her daughter Ann and son In law Nile Abele. Also by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and by 3 siters.
A visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Metrocrest Funeral Home
and Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Metrocrest Funeral Home with Deacon Nile Abele officiating. Burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton.
