John Luther Rudeseal, Jr. was born in Prescott, Arkansas, on January 19, 1926 and entered into the presence of our Lord on July 8, 2018 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his sweet wife of 70 years, Wilma Jo Rudeseal, his parents, John Luther Rudeseal, Sr. and Jessie Hannah Rudeseal, and great-grandson, Carter Hackleman. He is survived by his son, Lee Rudeseal and his wife Ellen; son, Mark Rudeseal and his wife Lou Ann; son, Micah Rudeseal and his wife Ronda. Grandchildren include Kevin Rudeseal, Eric Rudeseal, Sarah Hackleman, and Ryan Rudeseal. Great grandchildren are Jordan Hackleman, Madison Hackleman, Kassidy Rudeseal, Trevor Rudeseal, and Maddox Rudeseal. He had many nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws who loved him dearly.
John was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp in Italy from 1943-1946. He retired as a Vice President of Marketing for American Petrofina in 1986 after 40 years with them. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and UT Longhorns fan. He loved traveling with Wilma, spending time with their family, and fellowshipping with his Men’s Sunday School class. In their later years, he and Wilma had many fun evenings playing Chicken Foot with their close friends.
John was universally known as the sweetest, most patient man ever. If anyone had anything negative to say about John, it was not known. He genuinely loved and cared for all family members, friends, and acquaintances. His faith in God was real and evident in the way he lived his life and the way he treated others. He will be greatly missed by a multitude of friends and family members.
