

Josephine and Calvin raised their three children in a Christian home. She loved the Lord, her Family, playing piano and guitar so much she started a band playing gospel music at their local nursing homes. Calvin and Josephine were owners of Lake Palestine RV World in Tyler, Texas for over 30 years. They were members of the Golden Rollers RV Club, traveling together in their RV’s throughout Texas and surrounding states.
They lived in Midland, Texas until moving to the Dallas area in 1975. She was a wonderful, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who loved spending time with her four grandchildren, taking them to the Tyler Zoo and on camping trips. One of her passions were cooking & baking her great recipes to share with everyone. She never met a stranger, and loved getting to know everyone. She was also affectionally known as the "Red Head” in her later years. Before the internet, she loved reading the Daily Newspaper where she found recipes and all kinds of information she used on a daily basis.
Josephine is survived by daughter Debbie Stallings and her husband Tracy Stallings and their sons Tommy Stallings and his wife Amy Stallings and their sons Ethan, Jake and William Stallings, Tony Stallings and his wife Michelle Stallings, Son Randy Cook and his wife Suzie Cook and their daughters Cara Cook and son Hunter Cook, Hollie Bayyouk and her husband Adam Bayyouk and their son Parker and daughter Audrey Bayyouk, Josephine’s youngest brother Travis Bates and wife Barbara of Modesto, California.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her mother Tabatha Bates and father William Bates, husband Calvin Cook, daughter Dorothy Cook, and 19 sisters and brothers.
Josephine’s deep love and care for others will continue to live and reflect in all who knew and loved her kind spirit. She will be dearly missed by all.
Service will be held in Waco, Texas.
