Leon Phillp Mendoza, 75 passed away on June 30, 2026. In Irving , TX.
He was born on August 5, 1950, in Dallas TX, to Leon & Celia Mendoza.
Phillip was raised in the Dallas Little Mexico neighborhood. He graduated from N.R. Crozier Technical High school. He joined the US Air Force in 1969, until 1973. He also served in the US Naval Reserves from 1990 until 1994.
He is preceded in death by his parents Leon & Celia Mendoza, his sister Mary Agnus Gonzales, and godson/nephew Arthur Garcia.
He is survived by his brother Paul Mendoza, Cecelia. Sisters Celia Gutierrez, John. Margaret Prado and Tracy Caudell.
He has 7 nieces and 3 nephews, with several grand nieces and nephews.
Phillip will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery on July 22, 2026 at 9:30 am.
