Lorna May Stamp was born on November 14th 1932 in Meadow Lake Saskatchewan to parents John W. and Marie A. (Landry) Stamp. Due to economic conditions she moved to Edmonton Alberta with her family and was raised in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese orphanage with her two brothers Eldred Stamp of Ponoka Alberta and Ken Stamp of Red Deer Alberta.
After High School she migrated to several communities in the United States until she came to Rawlins, Wyoming. She often commented that she found the community to be her home because of the beauty she found in the area and its fine people. While working at Cappy’s restaurant she met the love of her life Carl Richard (Dick) Engstrom and they married on April 28, 1962. Together they raised their family of six children and enjoyed the Mountains and communities throughout the State of Wyoming. Her many pleasures and hobbies were the love of people, the mountains and camping, cards, knitting, shooting the breeze, achieving medical laboratory and X-ray technician status at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County and working as office manager for her cherished Vascular Surgeon, Dr. P.V. Sridharan. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Lorna is survived by her husband Carl (Dick) Engstrom of 53 years, children; Ernest (Wanda) Engstrom of Carrollton TX, Robert (Deanna) Engstrom of Gillette, WY, Chet (Susan) Engstrom of Denton TX, Garry (Linda) Engstrom of Bairoil WY, Janet (Bret) VanWinkle of Cave City AR, Brother Eldred Stamp of Ponoka AB Canada.
