Michael Wayne Brand

Michael Wayne Brand was born on June 17th, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Phillip and Karen Brand. Michael passed from this life in the morning hours of February 5th, 2021, in Carrollton, Texas at the age of 52.

Michael is survived by his husband/partner, Pete Khalil, of the home, his father, Phillip Brand Sr. and his wife Sherry, brother Phillip Brand Jr. and his wife Sally, sister Angela Kirkpatrick-Selby, as well as several nieces and a nephew, all of Oklahoma City as well as many friends. Michael was preceded in death by his infant brother, Rodney Brand, and his mother, Karen Brand.

Michael graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1986. He attended Oklahoma City Community College and was a self-taught I.T. technician. Through the years, he worked at many big name companies such as Hertz Rent-A-Car, Goldman Sachs, and Cadbury-Schweppes as well as other smaller local businesses.

Michael had several interests that ranged from science-fiction movies to computers to graphic arts to comic books as well as WWF wrestling. He realized his lifelong dream, managing to publish his own comic book and actually made it into a local minor league wrestling ring to wrestle a round or two. He is remembered as a loving son, brother and friend to those who knew him.
