Michael Jason Kling

Michael was born in Dallas, Texas on September 21, 1982, to Margie Kling and Michael Derricks. He graduated from American Heritage Academy and continue school as a Culinary Chef from Le Cordon Bleu of Austin, Texas.

Michael worked in various restaurants and entertainment venues as Manager, Chef and trainer. He enjoyed cooking, volleyball and the outdoors, family and hanging with his many friends (new and old).

Michael is preceded in death by Freddie and Elizabeth Morrison (grandparents) and Corey Bell (sister).

Michael is survived by Margie Kling (Mother), Ashlee Kling (wife) Anaelle Kling (Daughter) Drake, Eli and Remmington (step-sons) Tammy and Robert (sister and brother in-law), Byron Gerald and Lesia Bell (brother and sister in-law) Joshaiya Kling and Davonta Holder (sister and brother in-law) Takari and Jake Zatkos (niece and nephew) Jasmine Bell (niece) Anthony Bell (nephew) and Sterling Bell (nephew) great nieces and nephews Jada Holder, Jaylen Holder, Payton Bell, Jazzlyn Wright, john Paul Zatkos and Bella Zatkos. And step grandbabies and other family and friends.

The funeral service will begin on Saturday March 14, 2026 2pm at Covenant Church in Carrollton Texas.
