Michael Spinato, Jr. of North Richland Hills passed away on September 26, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born February 14, 1948, the son of Michael and Mary Goodmaster Spinato in New Haven, Connecticut.
After obtaining a degree in interior design from Paier School of Art in Connecticut, Michael moved to California where he spent most of his work life as a visual merchandising manager for several large department stores in the Bay Area. In 2000 he retired from retail and opened the Capitol Park Inn, a successful bed and breakfast in Sacramento. His guests were treated to luxurious surroundings, delicious meals and warm hospitality from Michael and his beloved dog, Sebastian. Upon retiring from the Inn, he moved to Texas to be closer to family. After Sebastian’s death, Michael adopted another dog Max who was a loyal companion and understood anything Michael said to him.
Michael was a true Valentine’s Day baby. Born with a kind and generous heart, he loved and was loved by all who knew him. A gentle, caring and talented designer, he used his creative talents to make the world a more beautiful place. In addition to his practiced eye for design, Michael was equally talented in the culinary arts. He was the official baker in his family and his recipes are treasured by all.
He is survived by a brother David Spinato in Branford, Connecticut, a sister Ann Marie Martens in Colleyville, Texas, two nieces and four nephews and their families, several cousins and Max.
