I just now learned of Peter's  passing. I texted him Friday and then today. When he didn't reply I had a sinking feeling.
I have been Peter's hairdresser for almost 30 years. When he would come in it was like a bit of home because he was from Jersey, I am from Long Island.
 We both loved to speak what little Yiddish we each knew and remembered. We would talk about science, and math, watch movies, he would tell me about his teaching the kids. 
I had hoped he would beat his illness.
I will forever miss our talks and laughs Peter.
May you rest in peace my friend.
