Robert Brockus, Sr, a retired professor and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away June 4, 2020 at his Carrollton home, with his family beside him. Born July 11, 1932 in Hammond, Indiana, Robert served his Country in the US Navy. He earned his Master’s degree, and taught at the collegiate level for most of his career.
Bob was a master carpenter and cabinet maker. His work can be seen at the SMU chapel, as well as various venues of the Dallas Catholic Diocese. He was a lifelong Christian, Bible Scholar, and Sunday School teacher, at Victorious Life Church in Lewisville, where he and Norma have been long-time members.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 at Victorious Life Church, 2671 MacArthur Blvd, Lewisville. He will be laid to rest at Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton, in a private family service.
Bob is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Robert, Jr. and wife, Brenda; daughter: Sarah Wells; brother: David Brockus and wife Donna; sister: Nita Storzer; Grandchildren: Stephanie, Sharie, David, Laura and Rebekah, nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
