Robert Emmett Tuck, Sr., 85 of Carrollton, TX, passed to eternal rest on April 6, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Born October 3, 1932 in Tipton, OK, Mr. Tuck was the son of Chester A. Tuck and Eva Ruth (Roberts) Tuck. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Nancy N. Tuck; brother, Thomas C. Tuck and sister, Lola Jean Fondren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Robert was a United States Navy veteran, actively serving during the Korean War, BMSN upon USS Whiteside (A.K.A. 90). He served from 1951 – 1955 and held the position of Ships Helmsman during his service. Robert retired from Dresser/Halliburton after 38 years of service. Robert and Nancy took great joy in traveling the world after retirement. They visited Australia, Greece, The Great Wall of China, Hawaii and several other wonderful locations around the globe. Growing up on a farm, Robert’s pride was his vegetable garden. Every year he tended to it faithfully and produced bushels of vegetables that he loved to share with family and friends. Robert is survived by Donna Stubblefield (Allen, TX), Robert E. Tuck, Jr (SC) Rogina Montgomery and husband Bob (Washington, MO), Kimberly Leasure and husband Ken (Little Elm, TX). He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Stephanie Word, Valerie Duniho, Courtney Tuck, Joshua Tuck, Cameron Tuck and Samantha Montgomery along with four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Metrocrest Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX on Monday April 16, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm for a Visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 9:30 am at Metrocrest Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery – Dallas, TX.
