A sisterly bond is one of its own and truly there is no comparison. As sisters we’re each other’s first best friends and first one we go to when trying to hide something from our parents. Peq, not only were we close sisters, you have been one of my best friends. You were a true example of what “good person” should be. You lived your life responsibly- though you sure knew how to have fun. You loved everyone equally and you never judged others. The void left behind with your passing will never be filled. You will be loved forever and we will do our best to be a little more like you. The phrase “one of a kind” fits you perfectly. Rest In Peace.

If anyone enjoyed life and was always the center of the party, it was Roberta del Carmen. She died suddenly after intensely fighting Stage 4 MBC. She was 45.
Roberta loved her family, immediate and extended, especially her parents, Juana Luvy Duarte and Lazaro Hernandez. She especially loved her younger sisters, Annabelle and Luvy. She was called “the girl” by them and both mutually treated each other not just as a sibling, but as a best friend. Roberta enjoyed living life by always having fun at parties and special events. She cared so much about the world, especially young children as she aspired to be an early childhood educator after graduating from Newman Smith High School. She loved her bacon and enjoyed eating tacos with me, her “little brother”, Alain.
She also loved animals, especially her home pets who she considered her children: her ferrets, Chloe and Oreo; her cats, Bumper, Peanut, Thumper and Lucky; her dogs, Paco, Simba, Nala, Canela and especially Chiquita. May she rest in peace and be free of pain. Her memory will always be in our hearts.

Peq,

You are so dearly missed. Your smile will never be forgotten nor your sense of humor or your larger than life personality. My friend and angel, love you always.
