My beloved husband Ron Moore has spent his final moments on earth. Because he is a Christian and asked Jesus into his heart as a young boy, he opened his eyes on the other side and awakened in a beautiful heaven.
As many of you already know, every day he’s been in the hospital my heart has held out for a miracle and now it has broken. I have struggled to understand and asked the Lord how I will continue our ministry without him?
But when I pray and reflect on the fact that he has a new resurrection body, joy unspeakable and will no longer suffer from pain of any kind, I am consoled. For Ron to live is Christ and to die is gain. He sees Jesus face to face, and is restored to wholeness. That’s when I say, “my Lord and my God Your will be done.” I look forward to seeing Ron in heaven and spending an eternity with him as we worship our Savior together forever and really get to know each other for who God made us to be as our true selves without the pressures of this world. On that incredible day, when I see Jesus myself, I’m assured as He guides me through the gates of heaven; Ron will be waiting to see me again. What a glorious day that will be! Ron & Deb together again!
It’s true Ron has experienced this day before me. I still firmly believe in the power of all God’s many miracles! And my faith sustains me.
Because of Christ’s great love in Ron’s heart, he had a love for others. He had a good heart. He was a man after God’s own heart. Ron is a very loved man. So many of you have expressed how much he meant to you personally and helped you. Or how great of a brother, in Christ, he was to you throughout the many years you’ve known each other. Ron’s entire life was wholly dedicated to checking in on, and tending to every heart of every friend and family member he ever had from Kindergarten until now as often as he could. He remembered birthdays and special occasions and checked in on you and prayed for you if you or your family experienced sickness or suffering. He chased after your lost prodigals and gave them shelter and the love of Christ when their whereabouts were unknown.
He especially loved his own children Jennifer, David and Jessica and their children with all his heart, soul and mind. He loved my children Dillon, Drew, Leah and Blake and his nieces and nephews Carrie, Sarah, Rachel, Amanda, Chris, David and Jessica and their children as his own. He loved his family members David and Barbara Moore and their family and his sister Mary Sue and we cherished our times with them. He prayed for all of our children and family members on a regular basis. He never forgot anyone.
Ron Moore impacted all of us with a personality as big as Texas! As a Pastor, Evangelist, Marine, Husband, Father, Step Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend, On Air Personality, Podcaster, Filmmaker, Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, he lived his life he was given to the fullest. He visited the sick in the hospitals, attended funerals and performed marriage ceremonies.
He would have one thing to say to you now. He would say “Child of God, it’s not too late to make Jesus the Savior & Lord of your life today!” And as always I would have to say “You’re right Ron!” His favorite statement.
We don’t know how we will make it without him. We will live by faith one day at a time and trust in the Lord to heal us and be our constant and faithful Provider. Our family would like to thank each and every one of you who has supported us throughout this time of sorrow. We have been uplifted by your prayers, meals, visits, support and encouragements. The Lord is loving us through you.
There have been many thoughtful prayers for Ron’s ministry to continue.
Donations can be made to the meal train link to help with his funeral expenses and to carry on his important ministry. We will carry on his legacy and do the Kingdom Work! We will continue to love one another as Christ loves us! Love you! - Debra Moore
