Roy is survived by his wife of 19 years Barbara A. Grimes, step-children Debra Susan Grimes, Michelle Hilborn, Kevin Coward, Beverly Ramsey Terri Fischer and 10 step-grandchildren.
Roy enlisted in the Army from 1970-1978. Roy enjoyed Texas ranger baseball and Dallas Cowboys football. He had a good sense of humor and quick wit.
Burial with full military honors will take place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
