It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Sharon Ann Simmons on January 3, 2017. She was born on May 15, 1942 in Dallas, TX to William and Aillie Simmons. Sharon was a former member of Cochran Chapel UMC and former active member of the National League of POW/MIA families since her son served in the United States Marine Corp. This beautiful lady will be sorely missed. She is predeceased by her parents and son, Harrison Hall. Sharon is survived by her sister, Rhonda Slaton; brother, Ben Simmons and his wife, Sandra; niece, Sheree Cooksey and her husband, Jerald, grandnephew, Jack Cooksey and grandniece, Coriana Cooksey. An inurnment is scheduled for Sharon at Restland Memorial Park – Dallas on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the M D Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, or a charity of your choice.
