Thomas William D'Aquisto

November 21, 1945May 12, 2019

Thomas William D'Aquisto, 73, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on May 12,20t9. Tom was born November 21, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Lillian D'Aquisto. Although his roots to NY never wavered, he has called Texas his home since 1978. Tom was a graduate of Pace University and retired from the banking financial industry after more than 40 years.

Tom served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He always made us laugh when he told us he was stationed in a foreign country during the war. He was stationed in Dothan, AL, and to a New Yorker, that was a foreign place! After his time in the Army, he married his wife Frances of nearly 51 years. ln 2018, we celebrated their 50th anniversary in Las Vegas with an Elvis vow renewa!. It was the funniest thing we ever did, but also so special. Tom was a family man. He loved his wife beyond measure always surprising her with little gifts, like flowers, jewelry, and even a Barbershop Quartet on Valentine's Day. He would help his family in any way he could; always supportive regardless of the decision you made.

After retirement, he was able to enjoy many hobbies. Genealogy was one of them. He was very proud of his Sicilian heritage. He enjoyed gardening and carpentry. He loved travelling and playing cards with his grandkids and family. Get-togethers were always a blast!

He is survived by his wife Fran and two daughters, Yvonne and husband Jared Postma and Danielle D'Aquisto; five grandchildren, Dylan and Brandon Postma, Sophia, Mario, and Elyssa Hernandez; 2 brothers and 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on June 3,2019 at 11 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Carrollton.
