Clara Antone, 90, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. Born on February 12, 1935, to Anita Palma and Jesus Murrietta, Clara spent a portion of her life in Eloy before moving to Tucson, where she resided for the last 34 years.
Clara was a devoted grandmother who cherished the time spent babysitting her grandchildren and other children. She had a passion for sewing and enjoyed attending dances, always valuing the moments spent with family and friends.
Clara is survived by her two daughters, Rosita Brooks and Priscilla Estrada; her sister, Frances Murrietta; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Anita Murrietta, as well as four sons: Ralph Estrada, Norbert, Alonzo and Joseph Antone. Clara was also preceded in death by nine siblings: Robert, Andrew, Juanita, Delphine Murrietta, Lefonsa Martinez, Susie Lopez, Natalia Xavier, Mary Valenzuela, and Rosario Cruz.
A service in her honor will take place at Eloy Valley Chapel on Saturday, January 10, 2025, with visitation from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Eloy Memorial Park in Eloy, Arizona.
