

Born in Chui-Chu Arizona, April 09, 1947, Clarence was the son of Samuel and Matilda (Maddie) Miguel, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Jasper Miguel, sisters Patricia Sanchez, and Mary Vavages.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 40 plus years Violet Miguel; daughters Ann Garcia of Casa Grande, Cecelia Enos of Whitman, Annette Enos of Chui-Chu and three sisters, Selma, Diana and Verna Miguel. He was a proud uncle, brother, and grandfather, and great grandfather.
Clarence was on the Elections and Enrollment committee for 40 years. He was employed at Frito-Lay for 20 years. He also served on the Sif-Oidak District Council as the representative for the Chui-Chu community. He was a member of the singing group Tohono O’odham choir.
Simon, as everyone knew him, wouldn’t want anyone to cry because it’s over, he would want everyone to smile because his suffering is finally done. He was a funny guy, always joking and making everyone laugh. He and his wife loved going to the casino and he was famous for his salsa. Everyone loves Simon’s salsa!
He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, leadership, and deep roots in both his family and his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
An all-night wake will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Miguel Residence in Chui-Chu. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 5:00 a.m. at ChuiChu South Cemetery, Tohono O'odham Nation.
