David Villarreal, 84, of Casa Grande, a retired sheriff's deputy, died Oct. 23, 2007 at home. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, followed by a rosary service at 9:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Mr. Villarreal was born March 23, 1923 in St. Paul, Texas. He worked as a deputy sheriff for 21 years. He enjoyed baseball, especially the Arizona Diamondbacks, bingo and fishing. He was devoted to his family.Survivors include his wife, Victoria; two daughters, Guadalupe V. Paiz and Aurora Castillo of Casa Grande; two sons, David Villarreal of Mesa and Michael Villarreal of Casa Grande; a sister, Cheney Leal of Casa Grande; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
