

CHANDLER HEIGHTS — Ethel Cecelia James, 80, of Chandler Heights died on Oct. 18, 2011, at home.Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday at the James home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Mission in Sacaton Flats by the Rev. Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in Sacaton Flats Catholic Cemetery.Mrs. James was born on April 6, 1931, in Sacaton Flats and was a daughter of Ernest and Lohina Nish. She was a homemaker and loved her family and being around them, listening to music and cooking. She would feed anyone who came to her home. She loved WWE wrestling and western movies.Survivors include four sons, Robert James of Gilbert, Patrick James of Mesa, Silas James of Phoenix and Alvin James of Queen Creek; seven daughters, Alfreda Oliva of Chandler, Beverly Alvarez of Stotonic, Margaret James of Chandler Heights, Sara Miranda of Queen Creek, Barbara and Sharlene James of Chandler Heights and Frances James of Mesa; two brothers, Cordell and Daniel Nish of Chandler Heights; a sister, Regina Jose of Santan; 75 grandchildren; 109 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Roger James; two sons, William and Gordon James; a daughter, Rose Andrada; a brother, Michael Nish; and two sisters, Carol Valenzuela and Patricia Nish.J.
