Born at Woodward, OK, to Gladys and Frank Hayhurst. She moved to Miami, AZ in 1942 and worked at Select Cleaners for more than 20 years. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Miami. She loved being around people and was known as "Granny" to many kids in the area.
