Joan will be remembered as a hard-working, kind-hearted, and selfless woman whose steady presence shaped her family and strengthened her community. A devoted matriarch to the Andrew family, she gave of herself in ways both quiet and constant—always ready to help, always willing to do what needed to be done, and always offering care with sincerity and grace. A strong woman of faith, Joan was a faithful presence at St. Clare Church, where her life reflected a quiet constancy and a sincere care for others.
She was a traditional basket weaver, a practice that reflected the patience and dedication she carried throughout her life. Her faith and commitment to others were also evident in her involvement at St. Clare Church, as well as in the many clubs and community organizations where she was known as someone who could be counted on to see things through and help bring people together.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Deloria Sanchez; two siblings, Paul and Vincella Andrew; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Ventura and Ernest Andrew; and three siblings, Delma Zambrano, Roland, and Clarence Andrew Sr.
