Leah Marianne Valdez-Ortiz was born on June 27, 2008, and passed away on March 27, 2026. She will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, whose presence brought meaning and closeness to those who knew her.
Leah resided in Casa Grande from the 4th grade through her sophomore year at Casa Grande Union High School. She also attended Summit High School in the Phoenix area, continuing her education and building connections in each place she called home.
An artistic young lady, Leah expressed herself with quiet thoughtfulness and creativity. She also loved to read, especially when she needed time to herself—finding comfort and calm in books and the private space they provided.
Leah is survived by her Mother, sisters and brothers. Leah also leaves behind lots of friends.
Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at St. Peter Indian Mission School, 1500 N. St. Peter Rd. Bapchule, AZ 85121 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Ak-Chin Community where she will be laid to rest.
