Lorraine passed peacefully at home with her family at her side on June 20, 2015. She was born June 12, 1941 in Eagar, AZ. Lorraine and her beloved husband moved to Casa Grande in 1965. Lorraine served many different callings in her church over the years. After their retirement, Lorraine and Walt RV’d for 10 years, enjoying many special places such as Burro Mountain in New Mexico.Lorraine leaves her husband of 54 years, Walt; daughters, Jeri Nelson of Casa Grande and Janice Fancher of Tempe; and her son, Steve Nelson (Farrah) of Queen Creek. Also missing Lorraine are six grandchildren: Gil Chavarria Jr., Cody Oakes, Kylee Oakes, Devan Martin, William Nelson and Cheyenne (Annie) Nelson. Lorraine will be missed by her three greatgrandchildren:Julian Lujan Chavarria, Jocelyn Lujan Chavarria and Ellie Aurora Cortez.Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Auroroa Eagar; and her sister, Suzanne Spears.Funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 27th at the Casa Grande Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1555 N. Colorado in Casa Grande, AZ.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery in Casa Grande.
