Matthew James Young Sr., 77, of Casa Grande died on July 2, 2010, at home.The celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with the Rev. Hank Cannon officiating.Mr. Young was born on Sept. 27, 1932, in Stroud, Okla., and was a son of Andy and Rosie Young. He was a truck driver and worked in construction. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and received an award for 20 years of dedication to the Juneteenth festivities in Casa Grande.Survivors include his wife, Erma; four sons, Wayne, Claudell and Matthew Young Jr., all of Casa Grande, and James Young Cartwright of Florence; a daughter, De Ann Sharp of Casa Grande; a sister, Fern Stewart of Tucson; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
