CHUICHU - Peter Andrew Thomas Jr., 72, of Chuichu Village died on Nov. 12, 2014, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. A wake will follow there. Burial will be at sunrise Tuesday in South Chuichu Cemetery.Mr. Thomas was born on May 25, 1942, in Sells and was a son of Peter A. Thomas Sr. and Cecilia I. Manuel. He was a miner and a rodeo fan, a team roper and "true cowboy." He enjoyed listening to waila music and watching sports.Survivors include a son, Alvin F. Thomas of Chuichu; a daughter Teresa Thomas of Chuichu; two sisters, Matilda Thomas of Chuichu and Virginia Thomas of Ak-Chin; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Malinda; a son, Melvin Thomas; and a daughter, Monica Thomas.J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
