Philippa G. Reede was born on December 31, 1982, in San Carlos, Arizona, and passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 43. Philippa will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who had the privilege to know her.
Philippa graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 2000. With steady determination and a commitment to caring for others, she became a certified Dental Assistant and graduated from Carrington College in 2013.
Philippa’s joy for life was evident in the things she loved and the way she made people feel. She proudly supported the Arizona Wildcats, delighted in anything leopard print, and found comfort and happiness in music—especially Island Reggae. Among her favorites were “Ya Boy MO,” “Maeli Paradise,” Spawnbreezie, and “Aaradhna.” She also loved cats. Just as memorable was her ability to lift a room: Philippa was often the life of the party, quick with laughter, and known for keeping spirits high with her playful humor and warm presence.
Philippa is survived by her siblings, Tammy Jose, Patricia Jose, Amanda Estrella (Duncan Estrella), and Crystal R. James (Mark James); her goddaughter, Lenaya Benally; and her significant other, Jonathon Sam Sr. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.
Philippa was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Lenora Reede; her brother, Conrad M. Jose; her maternal grandparents, Juan B. and Victoria Jose; and her paternal grandparents, Minton and Ella Reede.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Hickiwan Recreation Center, with services starting at 10:00 a.m. The Committal Service will follow at Jose Family Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
Philippa will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and relatives, and remembered for the light she brought to others through laughter, music, and the simple, sincere ways she showed she cared.
