Probo Y. Esperida, 89, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 29, 2014, at Hospice Family Care.The scripture service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with the Rev. Leo Floyd officiating.Mr. Esperida was born on Nov. 13, 1924, in the Philippines and was a son of Federico Esperida and Irene Ysunsa. He worked in maintenance at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center for 15 years and was a good husband and loving father who adored his grandchildren. Very soft spoken, he loved doing handyman work and had traveled all over the world as a seaman.Survivors include five daughters, Editha Esperida of Dao, Antique, Philippines, Amelita E. Hitsman and Elsa Smith of Casa Grande, Edna Spentzous of Pireus, Greece, and Conrada Calubiran of Bulacan, Philippines; six sons, Probo Esperida Jr. of Bulacan, Hector Esperida of Casa Grande, Nido, Milo and Gino Esperida, all of Bulacan, and Jovito Esperida of Casa Grande; three sisters in the Philippines; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelita; a son, Federico Esperida; and a daughter, Hylbrenda Esperida.
