FLORENCE — Robert Frank Crooks, 78, of Florence died Sept. 21, 2009 in Mesa.Mr. Crooks was born April 17, 1931 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He had a 20-year career in the Navy. He was a generous person and enjoyed visiting his friends at the Florence Gardens clubhouse on Saturday mornings for coffee. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, square dancing and talking.Survivors include his wife, Edna; a daughter, Rowena Harting of Blairsville, Ga.; a son, Edgar A. Lewis of Port Orchard, Wash.; and one grandchild.No service is planned immediately.J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
