Ruth Lawhon

Ruth A. Lawhon passed awaypeacefully in her home surroundedby loved ones on June 15, 2021 inCasa Grande, Arizona.Ruth was born on November18, 1932, in Ropesville, LubbockCounty, Texas to Reagan and Marguerite Montgomery. In1947 Ruth moved with her family to Arizona. In 1951 Ruthmarried Gideon Lawhon and started a family. Ruth spent mostof her career in real estate. She was a skilled piano playerand guitarist. She truly had a passion for music and a talentto match. Ruth had a smile that was contagious and lit up anyroom she entered. She had the ability to strike conversationswith anyone that was willing and had an energy about her thatwas truly unique and special.Ruth is survived by her son, Robert Lawhon of CasaGrande, AZ; her daughter, Patricia Rodriguez (Tony) ofCasa Grande, AZ; and grandson, Russell Lawhon (Hilary) ofLeesburg, VA. Ruth is also survived by her siblings: BettyWilliams of Hesperia, CA, Patsy Ware of El Paso, TX, JoCarol Harris of Richmond, VA, James Montgomery of SulphurSprings, TX, John Montgomery of Casa Grande, AZ and Donna Elliott of Casa Grande, AZ as well as many beloved niecesand nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reaganand Marguerite Montgomery; spouses, Gideon A. Lawhonand William C. Barham; and siblings, Jane Blackwood andVirginia Billingsley.A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23,2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Eloy Memorial Park.
