LAVEEN - Sheldon Jose Marrietta, 46, of Laveen died on Feb. 5, 2016, at Hospice of the Valley Ryan House in Phoenix.Mr. Marrietta was born on Nov. 14, 1969, in Phoenix. He worked in construction and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling and listening to Native American and reggae music.Survivors include four sons, Jesse F., Jamie M. and Jaye Valles, all of Camp Verde, and Victor T. Marrietta of Sacaton; a daughter, Monica J. Marrietta of Sacaton; his mother, Marjorie G. Marrietta of Sacaton; two brothers, Fletcher and Rodrick Marrietta of Sacaton; and four sisters, Sieanna Marrietta of Laveen, Simone, Marlo and Patricia Marrietta, all of Sacaton. He was preceded in death by his father, Simon Marrietta Sr.; five brothers, Clayton Card Jr., Billy, Gilbert, Victor and Simon Marrietta Jr.; and a sister, Sheila Thomas.The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center in Sacaton.
