Stanley R. Juan, age 63, was born on February 14, 1963, and passed away on March 28, 2026. Stanley was a hard-working man who found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life, time with family and friends, music, and dancing. He also dearly loved his dogs, Max and Coco. He was employed at Desert Diamond Casino.
Stanley took pride in traditions and in sharing what he made with others. During the summer, after the Saguaro cactus fruit ripened, he would go out to gather the cactus fruit (Bahidag). After eating and blessing himself, he would fill 5-gallon buckets, then make jams (si:tol) and traditional wine (nawait) to share with family, relatives, and friends.
Stanley is survived by his children, Amanda and Brian Juan. His siblings Clara Lewis, Michael, Bernard and Clifford Juan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Edward Juan.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility, followed by an all-night wake at the Juan Family Residence. Funeral Mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Anegam Village. Burial will be held on Saturday at 6:00 a.m. at Anegam Cemetery, Tohono O'odham Nation.
