NORTH KOMELIK VILLAGE - Stella A. Wood, 61, of Gilbert died on May 12, 2016, at Symphony of Mesa. Ms. Wood was born on Nov. 25, 1954, in Coolidge and was a daughter of Lawrence J. and Carmen (Orlita) Crawford. She was an accountant for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs and also was a counselor for Coolidge High School for seven years. She enjoyed lunches with friends, dancing to country music and watching her TV shows. She had a motherly heart and raised some grandnieces and -nephews. She truly enjoyed life.Survivors include two daughters, Vika M. Murphy and Kulukkona Langi of Gilbert; two sons, William "Yami" Morgan of Tempe and Nicholas Yaramata of Gilbert; a sister, Lorraine Harrison of North Komelik; two brothers, Vince Crawford and Johnny Crawford Sr. of North Komelik; and five grandchildren.The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 5 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in North Komelik Cemetery.J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
