AJO - Sylvia F. Martinez, 72, of Ajo died on Oct. 3, 2015, in Tucson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Douglass Funeral Home, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by the Rev. Peter Nwachukwu. Burial will be in Ajo Cemetery. Ms. Martinez was born on Oct. 20, 1942, in Ajo and was a daughter of Francisco and Adelina Martinez. She was a school crossing guard and always was willing to help others. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, taught catechism and prayed for the sick.She is survived by a sister, Belia Oglesby of Arizona
