Victor Ortiz, 77, was born on October 8, 1948, and passed away on June 9, 2026. Victor will be remembered with deep respect for a life marked by steady work, quiet thoughtfulness, and a kind-hearted way of caring for others. His warmth was felt most clearly in the time he chose to spend with family, and in the love he held for his grandchildren.
Victor found enjoyment in everyday moments and simple routines—watching movies, reading, weightlifting. He also enjoyed spending time on TikTok, keeping up with the world in his own way. Those close to him knew his sharp mind as well—Victor was especially good in math, a gift that reflected his focus and steady determination.
Victor is survived by his children, Victoria Manuel and Sheldon Ortiz; his siblings, Josephine Mike, John Ortiz Sr., Lorenzo Ortiz Sr., and Tony Ortiz Sr.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aniceto Ortiz and Eloisa Montano-Ortiz, siblings, Raymond Ortiz Sr., Juan Ortiz Sr., Valentino Ortiz, Sr. Christine Ortiz, and Barbara Ortiz; as well as one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at St. Lucy Catholic Mission from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in San Lucy Village. The burial will follow at Darby Wells Cemetery.
