BAPCHULE - Willa Thomas, 54, of Bapchule died on Feb. 1, 2017, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.Ms. Thomas was born on Nov. 29, 1962, in Winterhaven, California, to Hiram W. Thomas Sr. and Mary Grace Jose. She enjoyed running her food stand and also listening and dancing to a variety of music.She loved to socialize with family and friends, and her home was open to anyone in need of shelter. She cared deeply for her loved ones and was a reliable friend.She is survived by two daughters, Wilana K. Thomas and Marvana R. Lyons; two sons, Garin P. Thomas and Martinez J. Lyons; two sisters, Wilma T. Thomas and Tina R. Howard: two brothers, Ronald White and Marvin G. Thomas; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Florinda Jose Benitez; two brothers, Hiram W. Thomas Jr. and Wilmar Thomas Jr.; and a son, Calvin Lyons.Wake beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at the Vah-ki Multipurpose Center.
