CASA GRANDE - William D. Capell Sr., 79, of Casa Grande, a longtime carnival and circus operator, died Sept. 21, 2008 at home. The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel.Mr. Capell was born in Terry, Ark., and was a son of Henry N. Capell and Mayme Yates. He worked most of his life operating carnivals and circuses, mostly throughout the western United States. He was a member of the Showman's League of America. He loved spending time with his family.Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, William Dee Capell Jr. of Casa Grande; a daughter, Barbara J. Capell of Casa Grande; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice.
